What we do
Clairo Care is a licensed Medicaid provider in Maryland serving people with developmental disabilities. Families choose who cares for their loved one — often a parent or sibling — and we employ those caregivers, handling HR, payroll, and compliance, with care paid for through the state’s Medicaid program. Families manage everything in our app, and because our software keeps overhead low, more of every dollar goes to caregivers.
What we’re solving
Maryland’s disability care system is broken for the people who rely on it. Families face unreliable providers, stacks of paper forms, and new state rules cutting caregiver pay by up to $10/hr, which hits family caregivers hardest. We’re disrupting it and fixing it in a way that works for everyone:
Families and caregivers get better pay, stability, and real choice over who provides care.
Case managers, nurses, and behaviorists get a provider they can count on and one central place where each person’s care data is collected.
The state gets centralized, auditable records, verified hours, and credentialed, trained caregivers — instead of scattered data and fraud concerns.
About the role
High ownership, working directly with leadership.
Join a small early team in a high-ownership role working directly with leadership. Your top priority is making our app usable, efficient, and functional for families and caregivers, grounded in user research. Alongside that, you’ll implement AI tools and automations that improve our systems, support compliance and state expansion, build financial models, and help lead a growing team — with potential travel to build our Latin America support teams. Expect the role to evolve constantly as we automate and systematize.
