About Clairo Care

Fixing how disability care works

Clairo Care is a licensed Medicaid provider in Maryland serving people with developmental disabilities. Families choose who cares for their loved one, often a parent or sibling, and we employ those caregivers, handling HR, payroll, and compliance.

Care is paid for through the state’s Medicaid program, and families manage everything in our app. Because our software keeps overhead low, more of every dollar goes to caregivers.

Maryland’s disability care system is broken for the people who rely on it. Families face unreliable providers, stacks of paper forms, and new state rules cutting caregiver pay by up to $10/hr, which hits family caregivers hardest. We’re fixing it in a way that works for everyone:

  • Families and caregivers get better pay, stability, and real choice over who provides care.
  • Case managers, nurses, and behaviorists get a provider they can count on and one central place where each person’s care data is collected.
  • The state gets centralized, auditable records, verified hours, and credentialed, trained caregivers instead of scattered data and fraud concerns.

Why this work matters

Families choose

Parents decide who cares for their child, often a parent, sibling, or trusted friend.

Caregivers thrive

Better pay and real stability, so they can keep showing up.

Less red tape

One simple app instead of stacks of paper forms.

Stories to tell

Every family has one, and most have never been told.

Most families who could benefit from Clairo haven’t heard of us yet. Getting our story in front of them is a big part of how we grow. That’s where you come in.

About the role

Be the eye behind everything we share

Join a small, fast-moving team and own how Clairo shows up online, across our social media and our website.

You’ll be the first voice many families hear from us, so you’ll also help answer their questions and get them connected with our team.

Our audience is mostly parents in their 40s to 60s caring for an adult son or daughter with a disability, living in Maryland. Your job is to reach them where they already are, in a voice they trust.

What you’ll do

  • Run our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn: plan, write, design, and post content
  • Keep our website, clairo.care, current: update pages, post jobs, add new content, and make it easy for families to understand what we do and get started
  • Own the look of everything we put out, from posts and flyers to the website, so it’s polished and consistent
  • Lead our photo and video work: travel to meet families in Maryland, take photos, and capture video testimonials
  • Turn real stories from our families and caregivers into posts people actually care about
  • Post timely, plain-language updates when Maryland’s waiver programs change, so families know what it means for them
  • Show up in the online communities where disability families spend time, like parent groups and caregiver forums
  • Respond to messages and inquiries from social media and our website, and schedule intro calls with our team
  • Track what’s working and double down on it
  • If you’re interested: help us table at resource fairs and community events in Maryland
